Common Signs Your Child Might Need Glasses

No parent likes the thought that their child may be struggling in life due to a preventable issue like vision correction care but it is a real concern with children of all ages. Here are a few signs to look out for your child to make sure they have the ultimate in eye health for their everyday lives:

  • If you find your child squinting or tilting their head a lot to see when reading. Or if they aid themselves with a pointed finger or lose their place excessively. These symptoms could attribute to many vision problems that are in need of correcting.
  • If your child is always wanting to sit close- for watching television, close to the front of class to see teacher best or pulling very close up to the computer. If you find your child doing this type of behavior over and over- they could definitely need an eye exam.
  • If your child complains of frequent headaches, eye strain, fatigue or rubs their eyes a lot. This could be indicative of eye strain your child is going through daily.
  • If you notice excessive and additional signs of clumsiness or running into walls or missing steps– this could be more than their ever growing motor skills this could be an eye issue as well.

Many issues face a child when trying to accommodate their eyes when in need of glasses- so just keep in mind of these signs so your child can have the best options for their vision.
